Spring Fling and Sand Lake Day
SHAC Spring Fling
May 2, 2026. 10-4
Join us for our annual Spring Fling. Get outside and enjoy all that SHAC has to offer. We will have vendors, fun activities and demonstrations from coaches and teachers.
The demonstrations scheduled right now are Tai Chi, Aikido, and Swing Dance!
We will have food and a bounce house. Girl Scouts will be offering activities as will OWL Homeschool (see below).
Music will be provided by local band Goose Control and the Hudson Taconic Lands will be running an outdoor scavenger hunt (FREE!).
OWL Homeschool Open House 10am-2pm
Our group of moms and children has been together for over 5 years. We formed during the pandemic to ensure our children were able to meet other children in a normal, pre-pandemic environment.

Averill Park School District: Shuttle to designated locations (ends at 5 p.m.)
Sand Lake Historical Society: Self-guided driving tour
Sand Lake Town Library: Crafts, Legos and book sale (ends at 2 p.m.)
Sky High Adventure Center (SHAC): Spring Fling featuring vendors, music and Hudson Taconic Lands scavenger hunt (ends at 4 p.m.)
Sand Lake Kiwanis: Touch-a-Truck and vendor fair at Butler Park (ends at 2 p.m.)
Sand Lake Center for the Arts: Sand Lake Historical Society Amazing Graves reenactment, crafts and open house (ends at 5 p.m.)
Sand Lake Merchant: Free scoop of gelato for any child under 12 (ends at 5 p.m.)
7:30pm
Sand Lake Center for the Arts: Brit Beat free concert (register on website)
