We are officially back for the 3rd Annual Golf-4-SHAC Tournament! Join us on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Burden Lake Country Club for a day of competition and community.
As many of you know, the SHAC (Sky High Adventure Center) has become a vital hub in the Averill Park area - hosting everything from senior citizen services, our own Turkey Trot, yoga, and archery to camps, the Girl Scouts and Hudson Taconic Lands. Your participation helps us continue essential facility upgrades so we can expand into daycare, counseling, and more.
Tournament Details:
- When: Saturday, July 11 | 11:00 AM Lunch/Registration | 12:00 PM Shotgun Start
- Format: 4-person scramble (singles will be placed!)
- Cost: $125 per person (includes 18 holes, cart, lunch, and swag)
- The Fun: Prizes for Lowest Score, Longest Drive, and Closest to Pin, plus a Beverage Cart, Putting Contest, and Casino Hole.

Dear Sponsor,
We are pleased to announce the 2026 Golf-4-SHAC fundraising event and sponsorship
opportunity for local businesses and organizations to support the SHAC Center (Sky High
Adventure Center Inc). The SHAC Center is our community center in the heart of Averill
Park. Founded in 2021, it has become a place for everyone to learn, play, work, and
connect.
The SHAC's mission is to help the community be healthy, active, and engaged. The SHAC
already hosts several programs and office spaces. Some of the programs include first aid,
CPR, Alzheimers, archery, and yoga for all ages. We are also the home of the Rensselaer
Plateau Alliance and the Girl Scouts.
Thanks to generous donations from individuals, organizations, and businesses like yours,
we have made vital improvements to the facility, bringing the building back to life. When
fully operational, the SHAC will house more offices, daycare, counseling for all ages, and a
variety of programming to engage individuals and families with needed services. Upgrades
are always needed to continue to allow us to serve the community.
This July 11, we will host our third annual Golf-4-SHAC Tournament at Burden Lake
Country Club. We would like to invite you to become a sponsor. We have several
